Meet the Team
Nicole received her Master of Science Degree in Speech and Language Sciences from University College London. She then worked for the National Health Service in London, England, working with preschool children, prior to returning to Vancouver in 2018. She worked in private practice for a couple years until the pandemic began and then took some time off to start a family.
Nicole has experience working with preschool and young school-aged children with a range of speech and language needs. Her main areas of clinical interest include articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language difficulties, autism spectrum, fluency (stuttering), and apraxia. She strives to ensure an approach that is individualized, functional, evidence-based, and neurodiversity-affirming. She understands that children learn best when they are engaged and having fun, so she tries to make each session as enjoyable as possible by incorporating each child's interests into therapy activities.
Nicole has completed training on the Curiosity Programme (by Gina Davies) for supporting young children who present with early difficulties in social interaction and communication. She has also completed the Lidcombe Program for stuttering in children under six. She is currently taking the Meaningful Speech course to support children who are gestalt language processors. She is fluent in English and Tagalog. Nicole is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC). She is certified by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and is a member of Speech and Hearing BC. Nicole is also listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).

Eunice Lai
Volunteer
Hello everyone! My name is Eunice and I am a volunteer at All Things Speech. Currently, I’m studying at UBC with a major in Speech Sciences and a minor in Special Education, with the aspiration of being an SLP one day! Volunteering at All Things Speech is a valuable step towards this goal, and I am grateful to have this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.
Through my coursework, I’ve been able to learn about the intricacies of different developmental stages, communication disorders, as well as language acquisition and development. As well, through my hands-on experiences, they have equipped me with essential skills, such as active listening and communication, both crucial in this field.
I’m committed to supporting All Things Speech’s mission of neurodiversity-affirming care by assisting the clinic in their continued efforts of high-quality care. My role involves administrative work, such as resource creation and social media posts, as well as supporting therapy sessions. I’m eager to learn more from the professionals at the clinic, while helping in any way I can.
A fun fact about me is that I have a pet dog and I can also speak English and Cantonese!
We're still hiring SLPs! Please get in touch if you're interested in applying.
