Eunice Lai

Volunteer

Hello everyone! My name is Eunice and I am a volunteer at All Things Speech. Currently, I’m studying at UBC with a major in Speech Sciences and a minor in Special Education, with the aspiration of being an SLP one day! Volunteering at All Things Speech is a valuable step towards this goal, and I am grateful to have this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Through my coursework, I’ve been able to learn about the intricacies of different developmental stages, communication disorders, as well as language acquisition and development. As well, through my hands-on experiences, they have equipped me with essential skills, such as active listening and communication, both crucial in this field.

I’m committed to supporting All Things Speech’s mission of neurodiversity-affirming care by assisting the clinic in their continued efforts of high-quality care. My role involves administrative work, such as resource creation and social media posts, as well as supporting therapy sessions. I’m eager to learn more from the professionals at the clinic, while helping in any way I can.

A fun fact about me is that I have a pet dog and I can also speak English and Cantonese!
