Franchesca Camangian
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Franchesca (Chesca) graduated with a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
Before moving to Vancouver, she practiced as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist in her home country for almost 3 years working in hospitals and pediatric clinics providing assessment and intervention to neurodiverse individuals across the lifespan; specializing in early intervention, play, language disorders, and motor speech disorders. She is an advocate for neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based intervention; embracing the uniqueness of each individual and supporting them to improve their quality of life.
Chesca is certified in Oral Placement Therapy Level 1 from TalkTools and is currently exploring the Meaningful Speech course for Gestalt Language Processors and intends to be certified in this to further provide the best evidence-based practices for her clients. She is also fluent in both English and Tagalog.
She is excited to be part of the team as a speech-language pathologist assistant (SLP-A) and plans to pursue further studies in the future to be a certified SLP in Canada.
