Katryn Dela Cruz

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Katryn is a passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Science from The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Since stepping into this role, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of children and teens, helping them navigate communication challenges such as language delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and echolalia.

Her love for working with young people began at the age of 16 when she worked as a Vocal Instructor at a local music studio in Mississauga, Ontario. This early experience sparked her desire to help others find their voices and build confidence—goals she continues to pursue as an SLPA. In this role, she strives to support individuals in both understanding and being understood.

Katryn approaches her work with a focus on meeting clients where they are in their communication journey, celebrating their unique qualities, and genuinely listening to their needs.

During her studies, Katryn gained valuable insights into the complexities of speech and language development, which have helped her create meaningful connections with her clients. She looks forward to pursuing further studies to become a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and is grateful for the opportunity to positively impact the lives of those she works with.
