Naomi Toma
Volunteer
Hello! My name is Naomi, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to join the team as a
volunteer.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Linguistics at the University of Toronto, where I
especially enjoyed studying phonology, sociolinguistics, and psycholinguistics. I am interested in
learning about literacy and speech sound difficulties, and I look forward to gaining insight into
how they are assessed and the therapy approaches used to address them.
I am currently volunteering as a Communication Facilitator in the Aphasia Peer Connect
program with the Stroke Recovery Association of BC. This has been a valuable and meaningful
experience that has further deepened my interest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
I look forward to learning from the team and contributing my time at the clinic. During my free
time, I enjoy walking my dogs and reading.
